THE BEST ALBUMS OF 2016
If you were put to coma at the beginning of 2016 and awaken now, you would spend an eternity to catch up with all the good albums that were released over that time. 2015 has given us a vast amount of fantastic releases but it’s 2016 which went even further with this number! And oh dear, it was very surprising at times!
I tried hard and composed the list of 15 albums which I think deserve to be singled out in particular. This includes only the albums which I’m aware of as I’m sure the list would be different if I knew some other releases as well. Hats off to Season of Mist this year for making it 4 times to the list with extraordinary records by Deströyer 666, Inquisition, Rotting Christ and Urgehal. I also think that the status of the most surprising albums belongs to Bethlehem and Furia which honestly made me speechless and shocked.
I’ll be very surprised if 2017 can bring some more fantastic albums like 2016 but, as always, I’m in good hopes and there are several bands I’m counting on!
